Tasting - Veleta Tempranillo Rosado

Name: Veleta Tempranillo Rosado
Variety: 100% Tempranillo
Region: Granada

Country: Spain
Year: 2010
Price: $3.95

Winery Review: Fresh in flavor and crisp in texture, this dry rosé offers berry, tart cherry and light herbal flavors, with firm acidity and a clean finish. Focused and juicy.

My Review: To me this wine smelled like a pear that had been soaked in alcohol. Almost like a pear that would have been at the bottom of a pitcher of sangria. It had a hint of berry which was refreashing on the nose after smelling the alcohol scent. It had light tannins and acidity, was very smooth, fresh, crisp and clean on the palate. I enjoyed this Tempranillo more than the one that I had tasted before it.
