Shop Review: Intense pink color with violet hints. Fresh red fruit bouquet,
strawberry and cherry flavors, balanced acidity, dry and lingering
finish. Excellent with tuna or green salad, pasta, spicy Asian dishes.
My Review: The employee at vintage cellars mentioned that they also have this wine in a malbec. However, this wine is a malbec rose because it had less contact with the skins. This wine had a numerous amount of fruit scents on the nose with a touch of vanilla. Although it had numerous fruit scents in the aroma, it seemed to have a pear taste on the palate. It did not seem to have much acidity and was low in tannins. I enjoyed this wine for the first two sips but after the final sip I noticed that it was relatively dry. Although I am not a fan of dry wines I could see myself purchasing this in the future. It would be good with a heavy meal on a hot day due to the fact that it can be chilled.
